  • 14 oz sweetened shredded coconut

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 4 egg whites

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded coconut, sugar, flour, and salt.

  3. Add egg whites and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is fully combined and the mixture becomes sticky.

  4. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form small mounds and place them on the prepared baking sheets.

  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops and edges are lightly golden.

  6. Let the macaroons cool completely before serving.

  7. Optional: dip the bottoms in melted chocolate or drizzle chocolate over the top for extra sweetness.

Gris Kitchen Tips ✨

  • Use parchment paper so the bottoms don’t stick.

  • Slightly wet hands help shape the macaroons easier.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

  • These taste even better the next day once the coconut flavor settles.
